Happy Fall

Justin and I have been crazy as usual over the past few months (as usual).

We were both gone last week - I was in Charlotte, NC for work and Justin was in MO for his annual Deer Camp. I got to take advantage of work sending me to Charlotte and see my friend and Futures Tour travelling buddy,Tina, and hang out in their amazing apt downtown. Her fiance is a kicker for the Charlotte Panthers so we cheered them onto victory on Sunday! Next time I see her it will be at their wedding in Miami!

We also made a trip to MO in Oct. for the homecoming game & win against CU. Justin's cousin, Andrew, made the team and is a red-shirt freshman.

Here is also a laugh from Halloween. Justin is supposed to be the Heisman Trophy and I am a trophy wife. Needless to say the costumes were cheap & last minute!

So excited that next week is a 3 day work week, only 1 night of classes, Abby is coming home from UT, and we are headed to MO for the holiday!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

I love this month as everything in the stores is PINK and for helping Breast Cancer! My grandmother (who I was named after) died at too early of an age of this horrible disease and it has touched my family. I was so sad when I realized Justin and I will be gone this weekend & will not be able to participate in Race for the Cure in Germantown.

So many things have been happening lately! We just got back from an awesome trip to Knoxville for the State/UT football game. It is so gorgeous up there & even though it was a horrible game & freezing it was fun to hang out with Abby & the fam in Knoxville. I miss college sooo much! I don't think I realized that it is truly the best time of your life. We will be travelling this weekend to Columbia, Missouri for the CU/MU game! It is their homecoming so we are excited to tailgate with family & hopefully see a Tiger victory! I will put up pictures soon!

Back to School

So today was my 2nd day back at school. Grad night school. Luckily, FedEx pays for it. Unfortunately, it is at the University of Memphis, but it is growing on me. They don't have anything close to a drill field though. And they have parking garages, not gravel, which is quite weird. But after pretending to know exactly what my finance teacher was "reviewing from college", I realized this is going to really help me. I am also glad to have Ashleigh, my co-worker's expertise as she has been in the program for a year. She even walked me to my first class...I literally felt like a freshman. And I look like one lost all of the time.

I also found out what was wrong with my knee. iliotibial band syndrome. whatever that means. Basically it is inflammed IT band and I can feel it w/every step I take. So, I had to get a cortisone/orthovisc shot in my knee. I have a phobia with needles let alone in my KNEE where I am already sensitive from surgery. This experience was not pretty. The doctor told Justin to prepare because there is no way I am going to be able to go through the pain of having children. Ha. Worst part is I look like a pirate/pimp when I walk now as it is so sore. And everyone gives me an expression of "What the heck" when I walk by them. Looking forward to this thing doing what it is supposed to do so I stop scaring people & having to explain whatever I have to them.
Gotta go ice & study.

Sick & Crippled

This week has definitely not been a very productive week. The past month I have been hobbling around and not been able to run. This definitely is not a good thing for me as I treasure my running time to forget about the real world. So, I went to the doctor & of course my doctor said it looked like something was wrong, so off to an MRI. I loathe MRI's. 30 minutes of being still is just not cool for me.

Well then on Sunday, my whole right side of my head started hurting and by 5:00 Monday, I was in miserable pain. So, after another doctor and another co-pay, I have my 1st ear infection ever. We think it was caused by the trip to the lake. Here is Justin & his brother:
Justin has been awesome these past few days. He is a great husband.

Been Too Busy

Ok, so I have definitely slacked off from writing the blog. But I am going to try to keep it updated. I sit in front of a computer all day long so when I come home, sometimes getting on the computer is the last thing I want to do. But anyways, what has happened the past few months:

Weddings: May 10 I was in my old roommates beautiful Jackson, MS wedding. It was literally a wedding that reminded me of Father of the Bride. One word-spectacular. Their reception was at her amazing house that had the most awesome band along with sushi stations, fried catfish stations, and salmon. They also went to St. Lucia for their honeymoon!

May 31 was my best friend Amanda's wedding. She was gorgeous and the wedding was so touching. It was incredibly hard speaking at her rehearsal because we have both gone through so many things together and I don't know what I would do without her. They have promised to go on anniversary trips together with us woo hoo!!

We also made it up to St. Louis for a Cardinals game & got to hang out with Justin's mom. We got to see my cousins as well and celebrate Kolleen graduating.

June was a month of travelling and vacations:

I went on a random girl's trip to Chicago and had a blast with Ashleigh!

We also went to Myrtle Beach, SC for Charlotte & Ron's beach wedding! It was great to sit on the beach and enjoy a vacation. Somewhere in that ocean is also Justin's wedding ring :( Their wedding was beautiful & we also got to honeymoon with them for a few days in Charleston-I now love King's Street!
That's it for now...I have to run to watch Ashleigh's show on the golf channel...Highway 18!!

When you get married, you must start a blog!

Now that we have been married for 2 months, it is time to start a blog!
What we have been doing the past 2 months:

1. We have moved into our cute house & Jackson has marked the whole entire yard!
2. I have kicked Justin out of the closet! Mind you it is a huge walk in closet, but still he had to go to the guest room! I cannot see all of my selection when there is polo's and boy stuff in the way.
3. Justin is now the hot yard boy! Yes, he literally mowed our yard 3 times last week! He has planted a garden, vegetables and waters the yard every minute he can! Thanks to Robert, he has a mower he loves!
4. I now goes to sleep about 9:00-9:30. I surpassed motherhood stage & went straight to grandmother stage. Literally fell asleep during American Idol one night. Justin refers to me as boring & old.
5. I turned 25! Eeek! Half way to 50! My parents reminded me I am half their age now, which is crazy. Didn't I just graduate college? Justin proceeded to plan a great birthday weekend for me including arranging for friends to come over while I got to watch them play Nintendo and NASCAR my 2 favorite things!! Does he know his wife or what?? He did get me a video camera so I can document our life stories. Mind you I have not touched the thing once because he won't let me :)
6. I have been cooking! And when I mean cooking, it is like hard stuff. Hamburger helper, tuna sandwiches, and Supper Bakes are HARD work! One day, one day when I am not working full time, (or I keep telling myself), I will truly help Justin more in this area! maybe...
7. We bought our first furniture & computer together! Wow! I never knew marriage included the joys of measuring & debating over furniture. This is hard work!
8. Reminiscing about our BEAUTIFUL wedding! We were so blessed to have such an amazing wedding week. The family that came from such far away was a complete blessing & we had so much fun with them. We loved seeing everyone & wished we could have had more time with them! It was awesome getting to meet Justin's side & of course Justin loved my side :) My bridesmaid's were so great that week helping me & I am truly blessed with amazing friends. I will do another post more about the wedding week & amazing honeymoon we went on!

That's all I have time for now! But man this is fun!
